Home Invasions are on the rise in the United States. Ohio Shooting Sports feels that it is extremely important for people to learn how to properly setup their home and how to protect those you love. We will provide you guidelines for developing a home invasion plan as well as how to enhance your current plan. Most people have a false sense of security when it comes to personal safety and home safety. One reason that a lot of people don’t have a home invasion plan because they don’t think that “it will happen to them”. HANDGUN 2 "CORE SKILL BUILDER FOR CCW" APRIL 21ST

If you are serious about adding another "brick" in your wall of personal defense our Defensive Handgun 2 is the next step in training after completing your CCW course. This is our Core Handgun Skill Builders course. How close your opponent is will determine your which skill sets you will use. This class will teach you the fundamentals of keeping your handgun up and running no matter what the situation demands. This class starts off in the classroom for an hour discussing defensive mindset and the development of armed and unarmed skills. After the classroom portion of the class we hit the range until 5pm running a series of exercises aimed at developing your core gun handling skills. The day ends with each student shooting 4 live fire scenarios that bring all of the range exercises (Situational awareness & analysis – Heightened awareness, Rapid Sight & Target Acquisition, Use of cover & concealment, Ammo management - Reloads, Malfunction drills, Target transition drills, Strong hand, support hand, prone shooting positions & more) together into "real life" shooting scenarios. Great way to reinforce your skills and apply them in a practical way.

DEFENSIVE KNIFE / MARTIAL BLADE CONCEPTS - MAY 12th

Based on Michael Janich’s system, Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) is a training program specifically, designed to meet the needs of today's concerned citizen and armed professional. MBC emphasizes the development of “all-purpose” defensive skills (concepts). Rather than learning a large number of specific techniques to defend against specific attacks, MBC focuses on perfecting a few proven techniques and learning how to apply them to literally hundreds of different defensive situations. Through this easy-to-learn method, students develop defensive proficiency very quickly and have both the ability and the confidence to employ their skills after only a brief period of training. MBC’s goal is to “learn how to fight effectively with a knife” – applying the attributes of the knife to the broadest possible set of defensive circumstances. MASTERING IDPA WITH ROBERT VOGEL

Here is your opportunity to get live, one-on-one training from Robert Vogel. Robert is a World and National Champion across 3 shooting disciplines including being the current IDPA World Champion. In this class he will be focusing on IDPA shooting and will cover and touch on all aspects of the sport. From equipment and fundamental shooting skills to the nuances involved in shooting a stage at a major match. Robert will pass along the knowledge and experience he has gained in 10 years of successfully shooting the sport. Robert shows you ways to shorten your times, tighten your shots, and improve your overall scores.

DEEP DISCOUNTS FOR LADIES IN 2012: The "Ladies Attend "Free" promotion has been such a success in 2010 and 2011 that we are going to continue to offer big discounts for Ladies into 2012. This program is designed to encourage more couples to train together and for more women to take more responsibilty for their own safety. Essentially, all women who attend our CCW class with a student paying full price will still recieve all classroom and range instruction for free but the difference in price between the single and couple prices is to help cover the cost of range fees, lunch, dinner and ammunition, attorney lecture fees, etc. This is great program for traditional couples, father-daughters, brother & sister or even two ladies will qualify as a couple for our CCW class. In order to take advantage of the "couples" pricing we require that one person in the couple must be female.

For all other firearm training courses Ladies can attend for 1/2 price if accompanied by a student paying full price. This is a great program for couples, friends and relatives. Both parties must register at the same time. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.
